Itachi and Minato have a bond

Am I the only one who sees the special similarities between Minato and Itachi? It's annoying how people always put them against each other in versus threads, because I swear they will be like brothers if they were the same age and if the ninja world weren't so cruel. Their similarities are:
-They are both considered geniuses
-They are both considered prodigies
-Minato is Naruto's "sun", as Itachi is Sasuke's
-They both made a huge sacrifice for Konoha
-They both have a talent in planning the future
-They both are cool, calm, and badass
Am I missing anything else?
Man, I would just love for Naruto to have a son and name him after Minato. And for Sasuke to have a son and name him after Itachi. And they'll be best friends, actually cheerful, loving friends like Shikamaru and Choji or Kakashi and Guy. That would just be amazing

Thought it was obvious. Itachi is to Sasuke like Minato is to Naruto. Except Itachi is way stronger than Minato.

Few people that have died in Naruto "deserved" to die. Death is an important part of any good tale. I don't want it to turn out like the prologue of the last Harry Potter book: Albus Severus Dumbledore my ass.

Yeah, but Naruto is a pure-hearted guy and Sasuke is a misguided, lonely dude taht got screwed by the ninja world. They have so much left to offer, but if they die, then so be it. I just hope Kishi makes another series with characters worthy of replacing them
