in your list that means itachi is number 3. Why do u ask? because It WAS CLEARLY stated that nagato cannot defeat itachi. By whom was this said? by kabuto who u have as number 1. I dont know how to put a picture on here unfortunately but i can still quote exactly what kabuto said. "Nagato does not have the mobility to fight itachi" thats 1. And even after pushing the amaterasu away he was still regenerating from the death he just died. In other words if we are saying Nagato vs Itachi without edo tensei lol nagato and all his summons would be dead in a second. Just like what happened in the manga. So whenever u see an "itachi hater thread" that places Nagato anywhere on the top 10 always place itachi atleast 1 spot ahead. I will say this though. Nagato is my 2nd fav char and i truly believe Nagato > tobi. Nagato > Naruto. And im unsure but i think Nagato > ems sasuke. However he isnt stronger than itachi. as stated several times by kabuto just how much stronger itachi is. This thread's posted list is a bit skewed to the leaf village, with all the past hokages and uchiha clansmen. If you're including dead shinobi then the third raikage was clearly of the utmost strength. i also feel that tsuchikage oonoki and his powerful dust style stand more than a chance against hiruzen and tobirama (as long as his back doesn't give out). On a side note, Naruto just took out most of the past jinchuriki along with butting heads with tobi with little to no help, so he's kicking some serious ass.

We don't know how strong Tobi is, so there is really no logic in saying that. I believe there is a reason one of the three big fights in the manga now is against Tobi, and it also seem like the biggest fight (because of two things; Naruto is in it, and Kishimoto seems to be saving it for last). I am not saying Tobi IS stronger than any named character, but I am saying he COULD be.

Last time i checked naruto got his ass whooped when tendo pains power came back. Nagato could have killed him there by stabbing the chakra rods through his head rather than his hands if he wasnt trying to capture him. Havnt said that the current naruto can defeat him

Ok so
1. Izuna was NEVER stated to be the same as Madara it was stated that they unlocked Ms together but that doesnt mean they are equal.
2. Tobirama is in my personal top ten but we know nothing about him other than the fact that he is an awesome water ninja and fast and overall a great ninja.
3. Firstr and Second son they are NEVER mentioned in any other sense than the fact that they are the sons of S06P. They were never even stated to be that strong. If they are then its just a given.
4. Including the S06P is extremely redundant. No good reason to include him in the list.
5. Tobi does not = Nagato. I do think they are both strong but nagato has proven himself more than Tobi has.

To excluding all those wasted spots are removed you only have a couple characters worthy to be on the list.

A much more accurate list (excluding tobirama and anyone directly related to s06p (i.e. his sons)

1. Hashirama - considering what we have seen from madara and they way he stated thathis current fight is like cake compared to when he fought hashirama we can only assume that hashirama would be more beast then he is at his current state.
2. Madara - He even w/o hashirama jutsu was able to destroy a good size of the army he fought and it was still tricky for the kages to find a way around sasunoo and took multiple kage to stop his fireball jutsus
3. Naruto - I think naruto without he tailed beast can make the top ten with out much issues becuase he has a large amount of stamina and chakra and has proven that he doesnt need the fox to stand his own against multiple enemies.
4. Minato - Why not include the most revered kage of kohona (besides hashirama) he is known thoughout the narutoverse for his speed and is respected by all as a great ninja. even by the arrogant "A".
5. Itachi - I dont think much explination is needed but he is one of the strongest ninja of kohona and most of kohona was afraid to fight him. When he came to the village they send there strongest jonin out there to fight him and he took two out in a snap.
6. Hiruzen - He took one orochimaru at age 70ish who was considered the best of his student and was also able to take on Hashirama and Tobirama at the same time. While they did not fight at their best they are still exceptionally strong opponents.
7. sasuke - While I do not like his fighting style and beleive that he could possibly get wrecked in a fight against most of the people above him on this list he sis still able to take on the 5 kage for a limited time and then fought danzo would ws also part hashirama he still has a little way to go.
8. Kakashi - He is a non uchiha who is able to use mangekyou shariongan and has potentially the strongest jutsu with it being Kamui and it does take skill to beat the opponents hes beaten withou he lo about of stamina.
9. J-man - He is just a great ninja.
10. Gai - tyjutsu specialist FTW.
