Itachi and lelouch(two of my favorite characters in anime) who were very much alike in alot of sense. They both commited acts of evil for the protection of the ones they loved for example. Itachi slaughtered the uchiha clan(even the women and children) to save his brother, his village and the world. Lelouch slaughtered the Geass faction(even the women and children) to save his sister, his friends, and the world.
-
They both lived alone, hated by nearly everyone and treated like the devil himself, even though everything they did was for the good of the world and for those they loved. they were true heroes who faced much hardship and trouble. Itachi's mere presence kept Madara from attacking Konoha until he drew his last breath, and when he was brought back he once more stopped kabuto who said(I would have won this war had it not been for you) Lelouch also protected millions of japanese from being executed by making them look like him.
-
However all that aside, these two evil and became a greater evil then the one present to destroy it. And knowing this they both sentenced themselves to death, but it was more then that. they wouldn't been known throughout history as the greatest heroes that have ever existed(moreso lelouch then Itachi) but did they accept that honor? NO! they took suffering and pain, because they knew their sin and knew that such actions must be paid for with blood.
-
they both put themselves threw hell, became idols of hatred and were shunned by the very world, even though their actions were for the good of the world and countless people were saved by these actions, and so to make amends for their sins they were killed off, and finally justice was paid.
-
The lesson of their stories? If you are willing to commit evil for the sake of destroying evil, you must be ready for the punishment to come.
-
Itachi and lelouch were amazing examples for this, and that is my IMO they the two greatest heroes in all of anime(again it is just in my opinion lol)
