Itachi and Frog Song

If Itachi was caught in Jiraiya's Frog Song genjutsu, couldn't Itachi just use his Genjutsu Reversal Technique and... Reverse Frog Song on Jiraiya? Or is Frog Song too advanced for that? Thoughts?
EDIT: I am talking about when Itachi is already in the cube, could the two make eye contact and Itachi's reversal Jutsu take effect. Not when he's about to be trapped and is hearing the Frog Song, when he's already trapped.

If his reverse genjutsu required him to use his eyes then he would not be able to perform it, since we see that when that "Frog song"genjutsu is performed it causes the target to start looking up down right and left very randomly which kinda prevents that target from seeing correctly

AND to add on to that even if jiriaya was caught in the genjutsu ma and pa r right nxt to him on his shoulders so he could be woken up at any moment

Please reread the original post. This has nothing to do with Itachi HEARING Frog Song, this is a situation in which Itachi is already trapped.

Actually there's rich evidence to support that Nagato may have purposely wanted the Paths of Pain to get caught in Jiraiyas sound genjutsu but its a bit complicated so let's not dwell too much into that.

I would imagine not, because the Jiraiya he is looking at isn't real, it's a fake produced in the genjutsu world.

Im not sure about that, but regardless that technique has never been stated either in the manga or databook to be unbreakable. Also believe nagato intentionally got caught but i cannot be asked to find that post nor am i willing to type all that again

No because it isn't a ocular based genjutsu. The best Itachi would be able to do is just disrupt his chakra and escape, not reverse it q:
