Itachi an Anbu lost to a genin named Sasuke. He ain't all that.

If he had used itachi neutralizer sasuke would be dead right now

So sasuke was evil before he fought itachi? First time I heard of that.

by beating him to the point where death was a possibility? also he didnt know tobis goals for sasuke. maybe he wants to manipulate him. maybe he wants to finish him off when sasukes weakened and depowered by itachi.
and the amaterasu trap is useless because itachi has no way of knowing if tobi will ever actually come there personally to talk to/fight sasuke. he has an army of subordinates after all.
itachi actually ensured that the only path left to sasuke was dying.
if he went back to konoha hed be executed for high treason by danzo.
if he doesnt, hes hunted down by konoha or akatsuki and killed.
sasukes sole option for saving himself was joining obitos side.

Lol itachi failed in the end. Sasuke was going to follow whatever he wanted NOT follow itachi's path. Sasuke didn't join obito because it was the only option, but because this was the best way to get revenge against the leaf.

Committing treason to the village that ordered his big brother to murder his clan was the best thing he could have done. He wanted to kill itachi his own way, being in the village wouldn't let him do that.

@bold fanfic at it's finest. Sasuke could have done anything but obito would seek him out anyway. That's why sasuke's best choice was not just to join but to use akatsuki to further his own goals.

the VILLAGE didnt order a damn thing. hiruzen and danzo did. and hiruzen and danzo made absolutely sure no one knew what they just did. so the village is not and was never at fautl for anything other than being generally corrupt.

Anyhow I do agree hes very overrated.with his disease,he had lower chakra,weakened physical strength and speed etc.plus his eyesight was terrible.


Edo itachi is very strong but itachi with his illness is quite limited.
