Itachi is the true genius
young itachi could kill his entire clan

Itachi was more of a naturally talented person like someone who is born a football sensation.

Lee is a genius of HARD WORK...not really smarts or innovative combat.

Neji was a genius....he was even called one in the chapter you mentioned. Nothing wrong sacrificing one's self for those you care about
