It looks like naruto wiki agrees with me.

I know how the base feels about naruto wiki but like I've always said the people that post and edit that site have way more sense than some of the people on this site.

So yesterday after tobiramas "Flying thunder god slash" technique 90% of the base began to say its a s/t technique and minato copied it from tobirama etc...JUST BECAUSE IT HAD FTG IN THE TITLE. That is ignorant really.

When I first saw the technique to me it looked nothing like a s/t technique but a really really fast kenjutsu technique similar to that of mifune. Basically a speed blitz blade technique.

It appears that the guys on naruto wiki thought the exact same thing I thought.

Also, you can tell that this technique is NOT s/t buy the position of tobirama after he slashed izuna.

If you take closer look his follow thru leaves him at least 5 feet behind izuna showing the RAN at izuna swung his blade swifty with a follow thru that placed him behind his opponent if that makes sense to you.

When minato and obito uses S/T they appear right on above below or on the side of thier opponent like so.

It appears that this technique of tobirama is nothing more than a body flicker combined with a excellent sword technique.

Anyways thanks for reading guys. Dont bash me for using naruto wiki I feel like naruto wiki knowledge > naruto base knowledge at times.

I didn't think it was ST either, but FTG Slash? Come on.

Narutowiki saying something doesn't really prove too much. The attack is called Hiraishingiri, it obviously has something to do with Minato's technique.

The wiki knows as much about that jutsu as we do, it simply states that the jutsu is compatible with the sword he used. Everything else is assumption.

I dont understand why kishimoto would call it "Flying Thunder God Slash" without it being in some way related to Minato's jutsu, even though he purposefully stated Tobirama has s/t jutus, of which Minato has knowledge of.

Its like saying someone can use gentle fist, and then they have a jutsu called eight trigrams lance, yet it has nothing to do with gentle fist.

Flying Thunder God slash. It was clear from the beginning that we were talking about a kenjutsu technique. I don't know why people thought it was the same as Minato's. Sure it's said Nidaime has a space time jutsu, but Minato even clearly made a comparison between his FTG and Nidaime's space time jutsu. If they were the same, Minato shouldn't have differenciate the 2techniques

It was obvious that the technique was a kenjutsu because of the "slash" part. In my humble opinion.

There is a technique that starts with the same name as a gentle style technique like called , but like you can see we're talking about 2different jutsus. They are not even related

Minato can teleport around his tag in 2meter area or so. It could be the same for tobirama, he just jumps few meters ahead and lands unexpected attack. So it could be S/T but it also could not.

Naruto wikia is written by Naruto fans like the ones roaming this site. It's quite obvious that it's not Kishimoto himself who writes the site's context.
