That's like saying Bucky in Captain America: The Winter Soldier is awfully written. Kaguya and Bucky are somewhat similar. Both quite and under the influence of something.

Filler character...really? I hope you're not serious. She killed Obito and Madara :| two of the biggest antagonist in the series! And there is a reason why Kishi left her like that imo. Chapter 692 hinted at her suddenly change once she ate the fruit meaning the fruit has influence over her which I believe the fruit was a living being with evil intentions, but that's just me. Also no one else remembers where she freakin' started pouring down tears in front of Naruto and Sasuke? Like really? That right there shows character! Plus the castle in her dimensions was shown multiple times to indicate something. What Kishi plans on doing with her I don't know, but we will get a Kaguya backstory and her origins.

Heartless does not equal boring.

Sasuke is heartless, Danzo is heartless, Madara was heartless. All of those characters are great, and they are anything but boring, because they still have personality and unique characteristics.

She's not even the strong and silent type like Itachi pulled off so extremely well. Kaguya is just the most blank slate character in this entire anime, she is an extremely poor character. I just hope her backstory paints her in the way Kishi meant for her to be.

I respectfully disagree. Sasuke's willingness to sacrifice anybody, Danzo's willingness to commit genocide and murder for power, and Madara's completely inhuman manipulation of Obito.

Naruto obviously meant the second definition. As all those character won't spiritless at all. That was clearly Kishi's intend with Kaguya. The problem was that he threw away Kaguya's potential to be great foe for pointless Team 7 fanservice. She had all these abilities that could have made her a force of nature type villain like the Xenomorph from the Alien films. But Kishi didn't have her utilize them.
