That would be horrible if it was Shisui, If it's Shisui he's going to get the Obito treatment "you either die a hero or live long enough to be a commonly hated villain and even when you try to turn back good you'll be known as a joke", It'd make more sense if it was Fugaku, Sasuke's father than Shisui and he pulled an Izanagi on Itachi and has been in hiding. as only Fugaku and Shisui (or sasuke's mom but that'd be hilariously wrong if it's her) cared about Itachi like that. Who knows maybe Itachi made another Uchiha awesome friend and he pulled an izanahi during the massacre.
