I don't get why people say that kishi nerfed IT by not allowing it to not attack and capture the edo hokage. but it's makes sense for it not to attack.
First off IT isn't the god tree working on it's on but a caster is just using it as a tool. the god tree is basically just taking orders.

i mean if you wen't by that logic essentially the god tree would have to dig up and cacoon-ize every single corpse.

the same principle apply with the edos and I'm sure the tree can sense that.

a little off topic i believe this was said but KA is not stonger that IT

KA: can control any any thing that has chakra live or dead but take a ten year charge period and can only conrol one person...possibly more draw backs that we haven't heard of.
IT: can control every living being it come in contact with except the dead (or undead) no drawbacks that we know of.

I thought it made sense cuz they're not technically alive. And I'd assume from this that they're gonna have a role in the eventual take down of the enemy.
