Think about it, Kakashi and Obito's clash def signifies Kakashi's death because Obito is needed in the battlefield to help out madara after the 5 kage, Oro and taka show up.

Once Obito Get's over kakashi [who is an obstacle] He will continue being the villain he is and go back to the battlefield and taunt Minato and Naruto about kakashi.

He will then Make a remark about how childish madara is being and Will force him to take action.

The real battle starts then.

I agree, no matter how powerful madara is, the 4 edo kages alone should be more than enough. No way he has any chance against 10+ kage level people without some kind of help.
