What? His dojutsu IS the eye, if your talking about the tattoo I don't think that's related to his eye, more like a buff... the eye is exactly the same as a kid as it is when he's older, the tattoo didn't change it at all

We see in first episode that the dojutsu overlaps the eye not change it.

That's why it probably doesn't follow regular dojutsu activation because it doesn't work like a regular dojutsu

Yeah that's what i was thinking, from the first chapter of the manga, I assumed that maybe he got his eye cut Kakashi style and that he had a transplanted byakugan, but maybe now i think someone will try to slash his eye out to get rid of his powers.

That scar is definitely not a self-inflicted attempt to remove the eye.

I mean, it doesn't make sense. Shisui, for one, just plucked his eye out. So did Madara to Kakashi. And Rin to Obito. And Madara to Obito. And Madara to Madara. And Danzo to himself. And Danzo to Shisui. And Genjutsu Itachi to Sasuke....yet removing an eye never left a scar. The only scar we see it was to Kakashi from a surprise attack, and that was not an attempt to pluck the eye out.

I'm first episode we see that some aura overlaps his eye. But with sharingan or byakugan it's not some aura overlaps the eye but changes it to that eye. Think of it like transforming blue eyes to green, but borutos are more like having contacts on

Because Naruto has the ability to recreate the person's eye, and so might Mituki... Same eye but with more powerful chakra, like MS for Uchiha

Looks like a stab and maybe the byakugan we see is because his dojutsu was stolen and another Hyuaga gave him one in replacement where he manifested back his previous dojutsu.
