Isn't it weird? Younger generation mostly surpasses older generation like naruto surpassing minato or jiraiya or sasuke surpassing oro.3rd is said to be strongest hokage that means he must have surpassed 1st and 2nd hokage.But there's been so many generation and no one has surpassed uchiha madara?He is beating crap out of 5 kages, the most powerful shinobi of 5 different and powerful nations

I mean to be fair, not a single one of them has fought a Rinnegan user, none of them have fought a wood style user and when you add in the most powerful Uchiha of all times modified to be even stronger AND be immortal (unless sealed), then it's understandable why they're getting their asses kicked.

first what the rule is for most scenarios... but people like madara and the first or 4th hokage are different. they are exceptions.. Secondly Experience do count.

Agreed. They're hanging in there BUT if they don't do something fast to turn the tide of the battle I forsee them becoming exhausted and consequently overwhelmed! I'm almost wondering if they will put up a really good fight then start losing, only to be saved . . . ?
Anyways I want to see what's gonna happen when Itachi and Sasuke meet! I'm gonna be pissed if Sasuke keeps Itachi from doing what he set out to do!!

I don't think surpassing is always the case. Plus you talked about Madara, the 1st beat him, and I know this logic often does't help but if the third was called the greatest, I think he would beat him or at least give him a run for his money... In his prime of course.
