I didn't think about that at all, maybe it depends on their chakra. Lets say the five tails and the nine tails both have different chakra strength or defense, either way works. Naruto has more chakra defense capability due to the nine tails having more and being in control, while the five tails has less chakra and it was divided into multiple arms instead of one point or person. So there is less chakra defense on those arms then naruto had in his form.
Or else like you said, oro didn't use the sword to it's full power for some reason, maybe because the body was resisting his soul.

I hope he can even get the sword seeing how it was in oro all the time, even when he was getting sealed he had the sword. Or else was that anime only.. Not quite sure if it was in the manga too but the sword will be hard to obtain.

dont know what unknown technique that makes him invincible but it cant be good ...i dont think its eight branches but i think eight branches is gonna be his 3rd strongest technique

now a days defense in some techniques or characters isnt all that
like
garras sand can block the saskues enton / amaratsu
but can not 2nd mizukage hozuki water element technique

another theory is that certain chakra natures can penetrate bijuu chakra shourds shoot then all saskue has to doo is use kirin on a beast ......
