I'm planning on releasing a novel based on an original work I co-wrote with others. This was back in 2011. Since then our work has had some revision:
- Main Character dies about half way through the story. No chance of resurrection. Yes, imagine Naruto dies half way through Shippuden and the story continues with the supporting characters taking up his will and battling the Big Bad/Main Antagonist.
- The Big Bad/Main Antagonist is perceived by the reader at first to be a supporting character of the Main Protagonist. THe then becomes The Decoy Protagonist and during The Reveal is revealed to be the Big Bad, The main antagonist. His goal is mass genocide of the human race via buddhist philosophical means.
-McGuffins include a sword that can enslave others and make them zombie like fighters(inspired by Edo Tensei) with the slash/stab of the weapon while another sword can free the soul of others and lead to it's rebirth via the same means.
-The story is dark and edgier, with much violence and action. The reader and story characters are faced with moral dilemmas and questions.
- The theme of the story is about good and evil, but also about how mankind is fallen and needs to be redeemed.
- I currently reading up on Tv Tropes as a guide for the ideas I already have. In addition, I am currently doing character development at the moment and plan to hire manga artists to draw out certain scenes from the work we are doing as samples for the story.
- There is DBZ-like action in the story. TV tropes already listed it as fisticuffs pummelling and fisticuffs duelling(I think).
- I'm focused on developing a good set of heroes and villains at the moment.
