Nice, reliable source you've got there.

In Surah Al-Baqarah, in the beginning of verse 256, it's clearly stated "There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion..."

If this was the case, all the non-muslims would have been killed when Islam overcame the majority of the world many centuries ago, yet that never happened, did it? Because that is not a rule in Islam, it's in fact the opposite, as it is forbidden to force others into the religion.

I actually already posted that but I'm glad I'm not the only one to say it.

it's just a religion, not religion of war nor a religion of peace.

Adding to my previous point when you feel threatened you're not thinking clearly because all your focus and energy goes towards neutralizing the threat, if 4 guys corner you in the street and they all got knives and you have a gun. You won't be stopping to think if it's moral to kill them, your first instinct will be to blow their heads off as it should be and if you don't then you're a fool. Now I'm not disagreeing with you by any means, I think you should consider your actions but I'm letting you know the reality of things.

Your example is completely different and has nothing to do with this. It is obvious if 4 guys corner me I would respond with full force and would not consider morals. The thing is these 4 guys attacked me and I dealt with only those 4 guys.

A better example would be 4 guys attack some guy I know and these four guys like wearing green shirts then I just pick up a gun and start killing everyone that I know that likes wearing green shirts until I kill them all then I will be satisfied. Does that make sense to you? Well it doesn't to me, the above example shows violent general-ism and there is no way to justify the actions of the killer.

I will feel no pity for the killer only for the killer's family memebers if they didn't encourage said killer. I will never support unprovoked violence.

Wow. That was disturbing. Good thing I've had Muslim friends, or else I might have been ignorant enough to generalize all of them.
But if I ever see those friends again, I just might hit them in their jaws for smiling and laughing with me to my face while they worshipped a book that says to kill all "infidels" wherever they find them. I didn't know about the Quran commanding violence upon non-Muslims at the time.
I let them in my home many times, where my family was. My family and I, to them, are infidels. That's pretty damn disturbing and insulting.

Except that you missed the part which says "And fight them until there is no fitnah
and [until] the religion, all of it, is for
Allah . And if they cease - then
indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they
do" which implies fighting in islam is for the retaliatory cause.

I haven't seen the video but obviously I'd side with a child before a violent person. All I'm trying to say is don't make judgements on something like a religion or its people based on the actions of a minority or what you see in the media.

After having close Muslim friends, I could never generalize Muslims, man. I don't generalize any kind of people--or I hope I don't and try not to at least. One friend is from Somalia, the other from Ethiopia. They're not exactly saints, but they're definitely decent people, or else we wouldn't have been friends. Our friendship endured because we rarely talked about religion, and instead talked about girls, video games, anime, and other normal stuff teenagers would talk about. Guess they would make them "bad"--for lack of a better word--Muslims. But they're good people.
Hope this thread didn't stir some prejudice for non-Muslims inside of you because my feeling towards the general Muslim people remains the same. At the end of the day, imo, it's all about good vs bad. Though I know people's definitions of those two words vary.
F*ck non-Muslim vs Muslim
F*ck black vs white
F*ck Democrat vs Republican
F*ck hetero vs homo
F*ck liberal vs conservative

It's not as simple as that either, say the actions of a group of people killed your family, you go and kill the group responsible but you also know the source of the problem. You would want to get rid of that source.

You want to get rid of the source? There is no source you can identify besides human choice to be wicked. If they foolishly believe that the source are the billions of Muslims then they are in favor of genocide just like Lenin, Stalin and Hitler before them. If they think the source is the religion how do they explain the billions of other muslims not harming people in countries that are majority muslim? Ultimately the source is human choice to be wicked and that isn't a source that guns and knives can destroy.

If they don't come to realize that the source exists as a collective human problem then I will feel no sympathy for them if they retaliate on innocents. I will compare them to ISIS and Nazi.

Sorry. I don't care about understanding Muslims and the Quran. All I know is that there are gonna be serious problems of Muslims like the ones in the video keep threatening innocent people. They're out of their barbaric minds if they think that they will succeed in converting the world to Islam. I love my freedom and will be damned if anyone tells me how to spend this one life I have here on Earth.

It's all about respect. Those scum have no tolerance for people who don't follow their pitiful ways.

okay, its okay to make conclusions on things you don't know? I see the deluded sheep is proud of being one.
You talk of barbarism, ever heard of the crusades?

True but ISIS identify themselves as muslims so there is that. If muslims are against ISIS then why don't they make an effort themselves to stop them?

Come on, guys. Stop being dirty. Stop taking my own words and twisting them to make it seem as though I'm some ignorant, simple buffoon.
I'm referring to what I said about responding to what I've read and seen on the media. I'm 20, which is much too old, imo, to believe everything the media says. I learned all about the media's deceptive behavior in a class in high school.
If you're gonna argue with me, at least conjure up your own logic instead of twisting mine. Just saying.

The Bible, too, encourages killing in self-defense and in defense of your family, so I can't be mad at the Quran for that.
But from what I've read and seen all over the media, if a non-Muslim refuses to convert to Islam, then we are to be put to death immediately, whether it's by chopping off our heads or any other gruesome method.

Muhammad lived in medina with jews and christians, that particularly ddnt happen, Thank god we've got history!!!!

Ur whole point is wrong

Quran never mentioned to "kill infidels" at all

I have no idea where u got tht frm

If this was true then every muslim country in the world will be on war with the infidels cause it was mentioned in the quran

Tsk

Non muslims talking their mouth off to things they dont knw shit abt rly makes me boil

Interesting that you said. Today, I went to my mosque for the Friday prayers. Our Imam told us that just how we don't want to be generalized as terrorists, we shouldn't generalize people of other beliefs. Sure, we might not like the generalization but it is understandable. Instead of harboring feelings of hate, we should try to clear misconceptions. It really isn't that hard.

This has nothing to do with religion though. ISIS isn't a religious problem. What is this????

That's one of the most misinterpreted verses in the Quran. Unless you know when and why that verse was revealed, don't go jumping to conclusions. We can all take texts out of context. The verse that talks of killing enemies wherever you find them is in reference to times of war where one is naturally to be expected to defend their own life by killing their enemies.

Behead you for being a non-muslim? That's not a thing in Islam.

And thts ur problem

Ur ignorance and also ur lack of knowledge

Everything u said is banned in islam

Beheading

Killing infidels

Tht was never allowed in islam

In islam the most harsh punishments are only allowed to people convicted to

Child rape
Robbery with assault
Killing an innocent person

In islam then if this is repeated a lot then only it is permitted for him to be given a death sentence

Every false facts u know have led to this right now

Living a life full of lies

In this post I've quoted everyone in this thread who have been either defending Islam blindly or just saying something that is in contradiction with what a big part of muslims think. Here's why: many people say that the problem is muslim fundamentalists. No. The problem is the muslim culture and islam as a whole. The problem is that it is a law religion with very conservative and discriminating values. The culture of muslims breeds psychopaths. Why is this? I don't know, but here is proof that fundamentalist mentality is in fact a generally accepted mindset in the communities of european muslims:

ICM Poll: 20% of British Muslims sympathize with 7/7 bombers

1/3 of muslim students in Britain think that killing in the name of religion is justified:
...

NOP Research: 1 in 4 British Muslims say 7/7 bombings were justified

People-Press: 31% of Turks support suicide attacks against Westerners in Iraq.

YNet: One third of Palestinians (32%) supported the slaughter of a Jewish family, including the children:

Pew Research (2007): 26% of younger Muslims in America believe suicide bombings are justified.

35% of young Muslims in Britain believe suicide bombings are justified (24% overall).

42% of young Muslims in France believe suicide bombings are justified (35% overall).

22% of young Muslims in Germany believe suicide bombings are justified.(13% overall).

29% of young Muslims in Spain believe suicide bombings are justified.(25% overall).

Pew Research (2007): Muslim-Americans who identify more strongly with their religion are three times more likely to feel that suicide bombings are justified

ICM: 5% of Muslims in Britain tell pollsters they would not report a planned Islamic terror attack to authorities. 27% do not support the deportation of Islamic extremists preaching violence and hate.

Federation of Student Islamic Societies: About 1 in 5 Muslim students in Britain (18%) would not report a fellow Muslim planning a terror attack.

Pew Research (2013): At least 1 in 4 Muslims do not reject violence against civilians (study did not distinguish between those who believe it is partially justified and never justified).

Pew Research (2013): Only 57% of Muslims worldwide disapprove of al-Qaeda. Only 51% disapprove of the Taliban. 13% support both groups and 1 in 4 refuse to say.

Palestinian Center for Political Research (2015): 74% of Palestinians support Hamas terror attacks.

Pew Research (2014): 47% of Bangladeshi Muslims says suicide bombings and violence are justified to "defend Islam". 1 in 4 believed the same in Tanzania and Egypt. 1 in 5 Muslims in the 'moderate' countries of Turkey and Malaysia.

Is this ok??! Almost half of the muslim youth in France think that suicide bombings are justified and almost half of muslims in Britain want a law that discriminates minorities and abuses/dominates women! There's no running from these facts. You muslims in this thread represent this ideology, so it means you accept everything it represents!
I hope this will put an end to this thread and make those who defended islam in this thread to leave their religion or atleast convert from it. Islam provokes violence and you know it!

True but ISIS identify themselves as muslims so there is that.

Much the same way communists in the cold war identified themselves as Atheists. It is known that not all atheists are like that, same applies here. Below are words of one of Lenin's closest friends who was an atheist and a communist.

"Famine would also destroy faith not only in the tsar, but in God too" The black book of communism page 123-124. Lenin's words are similar.

If some were to generalize like these people they would start to target Atheists left and right because communists who are also atheists used horrible ways to get rid of the beliefs of people. But that is wrong, do you see now how foolish generalization is?

These people are barbarians nothing but their own carnal nature can justify their actions if they don't get rid of their beliefs I will see them as less than dirt same way I see ISIS.

Wow. This is what I mean by twisting my words.
When I said that the Quran commands Muslims to kill non-Muslims who refuse to convert, I was not implying that that's always the case. No sh*t that doesn't always happen, or else Muslims would be extinct by now because non-Muslims wouldn't let that keep happening and we'd be living in a completely different world.
I'm not implying that Muslims obey everything the Quran commands as if they're robots. A Muslim who's a good person won't behead his next door neighbor who's a Christian just because the Quran says so. This is the 21st century. Casual killings like that obviously wouldn't fly in a first-world country.
I'm done here. You guys just love to exploit a flaw in my text because you yourselves can't come up with your own logic.
Buy a book about debating. Sheesh.

I look at any video on this subject and all I see is comments on how muslims should die and politicians be hanged for betraying their own people. There was one good comment in particular though, it went like this " Why do you think these countries always have some dictator, cause they are violent animals that need to be controlled".

Yup, hate from both sides hold people back from enjoying the peace. I support the destruction of ISIS but not the destruction of those who have committed no crimes.

Lol'd at that comment, well Europe had their dictators in the past but they were no longer needed as other more efficient means of control were found.

The countries being refereed too are years behind the developed world and their culture is further back still, so the dictatorship method of control is the method that seems to work best for them, unless they change their ways.

Owh, wow, the barrister took it personal! But then if the "book" did command that we kill anyone who doesn't convert the world might just be 100% muslim now, if it did command so, with that very post, you're trying to imply that the prophet of islam himself did not follow the books commanding.
A little history for you boy, islam had the biggest empire known in human existence I.e the ottoman empire. If the entire massacre of non-converts was the case, just how many centuries would it have taken to achieve that? 1? 2? 3 perhaps?
You're retarded my man, this isn't about debating, its about stating a fact and you having to accept it alongside the butthurt

I'll just leave what I left on the last thread about the same exact topic.

Muhammad inspired his men to war with the basest of motives, using captured loot, *** and a gluttonous paradise as incentives. He beheaded captives, enslaved children and raped women captured in battle. Again, Muslims are told to emulate the example of Muhammad.

Quran (40:71-72) - When the fetters and the chains shall be on their necks; they shall be dragged Into boiling water, then in the fire shall they be burned

Quran (22:19-21) - But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads; Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will be melted; And for them are hooked rods of iron

Quran (4:56) - Those who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment Lo! Allah is ever Mighty, Wise

Quran (56:92-94) - But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, then the welcome will be boiling water and roasting at hell-fire

As to what regard Muslims are to show for those who don't believe, the Quran says to be ruthless toward them, since they are going to Hell anyway:

Quran (9:73) - O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination

Quran (66:9) - O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end.

Quran (8:55) - Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve
Quran (9:30) - And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah... Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they!

Quran (4:52) - Those (Christians) are they whom Allah hath cursed...

Quran (4:47) - O you (Jews) who have been given the Book! believe that which We have revealed, verifying what you have, before We alter faces then turn them on their backs, or curse them as We cursed the violaters of the Sabbath, and the command of Allah shall be executed.

Quran (5:59-60) - This verse begets the infamous belief on the part of some Muslims that Jews are descended from swine and apes, since it says that wicked Jews (at least) were transformed by Allah in the past. (See also 2:64)
