the reason obito looks around nagato's age is because of the zetsu cloak he is wearing which makes him look older.

The timeline makes sense when you go back and piece together everything being referenced. The big thing people wonder was how Obito took Minato on and how he was so tall. It's been answered. He trained himself a little, then stepped into the spiral zetsu's body, and then Madara trained him inside the genjustu before he died.
