No, Uryuu is more cleverer and less arrogant . I assume Ishida's grandfather or his father must have figured out how ishida can survive King's holy selection . I like Sasuke's voice actor :dunno: his talented. Anyway Ishida was never on the soul societies side, in fact he was never even Ichigo's friend, he was an ally and therefore free to choose and side without betraying anyone. It does feel like Kubo has been reading the parts of Naruto before it was corporately manipulated.
Also we don't know Ishida's motives and we don't know if he is really tricking Yhwach, think about Gin, he killed people but was still a spy and assassin. There is such a thing in these situations as keeping up appearences
No, there is indeed bigger motives yet to be known and Ishida is not a fool . First thing i need the confirmation did Uryuu fell into the trap of Yhwach's hands when he drank his blood .
I think Uryuu can still survive the Aushwahlen process , Ryuuken or his granfather nust have planned something about Uryy survivng from Yhwach's holy selection process.
