Zorro is the most loyal member of the crew to Luffy, as despite calling Luffy an idiot or not always agreeing with his decisions, he still is the first to go along with them.

He is also the most supportive of Luffy's more reckless decisions and he was the first to join Luffy's crew.

So while Luffy cares about his crew equally, Luffy and Zorro could be said to be best friends.

No he isn't.

Sanji was about to perform the same sacrifice as Zoro did on Thriller Bark. That's the greatest feat of loyalty from any Strawhat and you can say Sanji would've done the same.

The only one that showed any sign of disloyalty was Usopp, whom was in fact too loyal, otherwise he wouldn't have wanted to keep Merry

P.S. there are these characters called Ace and Sabo, right? And then there's this other guy called Shanks... They're probably closest to Luffy

His determination to save his crew at the cost of his life wasn't as strong as that of Zoro though.

He would've done it too if Zoro didn't hit him, that's an endurance issue, not a loyalty or determination one hahah

Zoro himself openly admitted that his body can no longer follow his instructions means that he was keeping himself concious with sheer will power and the determination to save his crew which is something Sanji seriously lacks. Zoro exceeded his limits to save his crew just like Luffy at ID and MF but Sanji didn't as his love for his crew was limited to his own physical limits unlike Zoro or Luffy.

Another thing that should be noted would be that Sanji's decision wasn't his own. It was more like he was motivated by Zoro's decision and made up his mind to replace Zoro. Prior to that he never actually bothered himself with even confronting Kuma despite being one of two people to remain concious after ursus shock even when one of his crew members is desperately trying to fight him in a hopeless situation let alone making up his mind to sacrifice himself.

I admit that his love for crew and loyalty aren't an different from Zoro. But he lacks in self motivation and will power when compared to Zoro. In other words Zoro's sacrifice was more original than Sanji's.

So now friendship is bound by physical limits rather than emotion?

WTF kind of friendships do you have?!

LMAOOOO what? Are you seriously defining the emotional aspect of friendship by physical capabilities? The ****?

Luffy/Zoro were able to surpass their own physical limits because their emotions for their crew are very strong. Sanji lacks that criteria which in turn proves that his emotions aren't as strong.

Yeah, there's no such thing as surpassing your physical limitations. That's why they're called physical limitations. Zoro simply was on the brink of his, and he simply underestimated himself.

Dat logic thouuuuuuuuuuugh

A limit is a limit. End of. It was just a case of Zoro's durability being superior to Sanji

At EL Luffy kept getting back despite receiving so many blows from Lucci and fought until Lucci went down. Same Luffy couldn't move any inch as soon as he realized that Lucci someone that'd definitely kill his crew went down. If that's not same as breaking one's own limitations for the sake of saving his crew I don't know what it is.
