The anime's ending was better than the manga (or was it the same?). Togashi won't disband HxH in the same with YYH...at least it's very likely that he won't.

Yes it is! YYH is one of the rare shounen that isn't average or total garbage. Yusuke as the mc shits on other shounen protags such as Naruto, Ichigo or Luffy and same goes for the other characters. It also has one of the most intersting villains.

It is just how all the battle shounen we have these days should be. YYH and Kenshin needs to teach the mainstream shit how it's done.

I stopped after the dark tournament when I was a kid and that left YYH at like top 25 but I rewatched and finished it about 2 years ago and it's top 10 now. The story just gets more compelling or maybe it's the attachment via good character development

You mean just like Naruto, Luffy, Gon, etc? That's a pretty well established trope/archetype for many Shonen main characters. He's a loud mouthed school aged delinquent. It's expected that he'll be annoying. The reason he was so cool is that you finally saw a series from the point of view of one such delinquent. His rudeness and vulgarity made him way more interesting than if he were to just act like the stereotypically 'cool' Sasuke-esque character.

OT: I really enjoyed this anime, and I would definitely put it in my top 5 for nostalgia's sake xD.

Lol that's kinda why i'm not fans of those type of MC's that act that way or the same in any way. Hiei and Kurama are my favorites because even though they care they still act serious in most situations. Even Kuwabara grew on me dude is hilarious.
