Is Xbox more powerful?

Just now I was at game stop, the girl that works there told me that Xbox one S is more powerful than the PS4 slim. Is this true or does she not know what she is talking about?

Microsoft learned their lesson. Might be too late depending on who you ask though.

It is but Developers are going to develop their games to the weakest console/platform.

There will be performance differences but overall they will function the same.


If you have a Xone or PS4 there's little point to upgrade to S/Slim/Pro

The console that most of your friends play at....is the best for you...
While personally I recommend PS4 for you...have a lot of exclusives unlike Xbox....well, this year it will have a lot...but it's too late...just as I said before..it's up to you...

One X is supposed to be 30% more powerful than the pro. It still depends on the game developers though. Destiny 2 for example will be 4k/30 fps on both consoles even despite the differences. The vast majority of older games will not be providing 4k updates.

Id say pro is more bang for your buck. Neither are as powerful as a good PC, and its not "true" 4k gaming on either.

It is not the same as the original. it has a 4k blu ray player, HDR support, bluetooth controllers, upscaling to 4K for games. Slightly faster CPU clock speed.

In terms of internal resolution and performance its pretty much the same. The slightly better clock speed nets at bets 2-4 frames (assuming the system couldn't hold whatever it was targeting)

Both consoles support bluetooth controllers and HDR, and upscaled 720p or 900p is still 720p or 900p.
Ps4 and ps4 slim still run their games at native 1080p in comparison.
