is xbox live a rip off or is it worth it.

for xbox live you have pay $60 dollars a year for online services.

you would think that the apps that the xbox has that are actually free on online sites and even other consoles would be free too on xbox live but it's not you need xbox live gold in order to use the apps like youtube,crackle, and vevo.so on top of that if you want to use netflix you need an xbox live subscription then a netflix subscription so there is no way around this.(some think they should make free services on the internet free instead of making you buy xbox live gold for it)

also xbox live security-xbox live sercurity is good but it's not the best you know it kind of got into this stereo type that xbox live is the most secure network of all time when it's not the case, xbox live has been hacked numerous time with people getting there credit cards numbers stolen and other info about the user, it might of been in 2008-2009.also still has various complaints of hacks but xbox live didn't chose to shut down.
(xbox has a nice network but i don't think it's is that good for everyone to pay $60 a year when there are others like steam network out there that are not of bad quality that are free.)so xbox live might seems overpriced to some people and not worth it.

the only thing that xbox live has an advantage really is party chat,early dlc, and faster internet(depends).

I don't think it's a ripoff. 60$ is a lot but for an entire year of better service than the PS3, definitely worth it.

No way plus you have to pay for a certain type membership just to download certain things. I'm with sony and while they do have a special membership called playstation plus the only thing thats different is that 'plus' members get discounts

Yes! I completely forgot! Parties.. the ps3 can only do 1 on 1 chat but with Xbox you could have like 8 niggas in the same damn party with you while playing Black Ops 2.. rep

xbox has , good features you dont have to get a new profile just to change your gamertag , ps3 is basically used for single player ... thats what most of there games are single player anyway.... xbox is more like a community
