Not that scary..There really aren't any good horror movies these days. Insidious comes close though.

It's not scary. Actually most "horror" movies aren't scary. They are just a thriller.

There are some good scares in it, but nothing traumatic if that's what you're getting at. I would recommend watching it if you like horror movies. The plot is a little generic, but it trumps a lot of recent movies.
