I think it can go like Iron Man 2 if they screw it up, but they could pull this off. D.C. being a darker alternative to Marvel being so light hearted. Imagine if they really go through with story arcs that have Death in a Family and the Killing Joke? They've already borrowed from Dark Knight Returns. You don't think that's enough to grab attention?

Um no. They pushed BvS like a whole year ahead so they are far from rushing it. Its going to be epic.

You don't think that's enough to grab attention?

Marvel as good as they are have proven that you can't do justice to comics in the film format, especially when there's a studio involved. Sometimes stories are just left better in the comics. (also see: upcoming civil war haha)

An alternative would be nice but the studio is clamouring for a MCU of their own and that's simply not happening this late into the game. They're entirely hiking on Nolan's back and Man of Steel IS a wannabe Dark Knight movie in tone and execution. And other than Flash (a different team & TV) it seems that all their films will be the same.

Not too sure about that. If they were hiking on Nolan's back they could make a small tweak to include Bale's Batman for Man of Steel by having Batman admit he was wrong about there not being heroes. They shot 2 pretty close together, so it seems like they have a plan.

i don't think they are. Ever since Disney acquired Marvel they have been spewing out ho-hum MCU movies like every 6 months. Aside superman and Batman, DC have barely gotten their feet wet in cinema.

As far as you thinking they have a plan OP, you would be correct this Batman VS Superman is also featuring Wonder Woman and I think it was Cyborg. I believe they are gearing up for a Justice League Movie. I get the feeling that when Justice League launches, it will have the Watchmen feel to it.

They've got their schedule out. They're ramping it up after next year. Two films come out next year within months of each other and four films are about to shoot.

I think it will be. One of my theories is that they're going to incorporate Death In The Family and Killing Joke into the next two films. There's little easter eggs that popped up in casting and Jared Leto's tweets. Having a serious set of films to contrast Marvel being so light hearted will be nice.

That's what I was saying, D.C. has a schedule and they're ramping it up after 2016. Sadly, they're looking to do a Booster Gold film too.

Whats wrong with that??? That seems like a great idea for mid card movie....blue beetle and booster gold movie sounds amazing IMO but than again I am big booster gold fan
