Dont know the feats with madara that shows hashi dna superiority he could easily use the rinnegan because it's his own eye.

Obito's problem was that he was using the six paths, while controlling tailed beasts, fighting 2 perfect Jins Guy and Kakashi. That is while fighting Madara's eye. And after becoming the Jyubi Jin, he had to also fight the Jyubi's power + the entire alliance while controlling the Rinnegan, and fighting for a few days straight. He's bound to have some problems doing all of that, while Nagato cucked it after a small battle.

The fact that Nagato could handle two Rinne's with just his Uzumaki dna bloodline shows just how powerful they were while every1 else with those eyes needed other folks dna to either get them or to maintain it somewhat if they did get them.
This is a chakra thang an based on what we've seen, only Uchiha get others dna to go beyond.

Obito was hyping Madara's power for the next scene, he only nearly lost himself during the battle. If you look at how Obito used the paths, alongside tailed beasts and shifting between forms. And using one rod at that, his display far outweighs anything Nagato could do. Obito doesn't need to give himself the excuse, the excuse is clearly visible. What was Obito doing that he nearly lost himself to the Rinnegan's power during the war? He was fighting multiple high level opponents, the Jyubi Jins will and the alliance. In one scene you're even shown him being torn apart by teh Jyubi. So consider for a moment that Obito is fighting that, while trying to keep control of Madara's power. Why does he need to say, I was doing this, that, this, that while being overcome by the Rinnegan
