Is tsukiyomi capable of “mass genjutsu“ ?

Ok before we start,my apologies if this has been discussed and for spelling tsukiyomi wrong.lol

Anyway besides infinite tsuki,can a normal tsukiyomi catch several people in a genjutsu at once?
For example: if kurenai and asuma had kept there eyes open is it possible that they would have been trapped in tsukiyomi WITH kakashi.....

I don't think so. You need eye contact to cast Tsukuyomi, you can't make eye contact with more than 1 person at time.

I think you'd need a certain medium to capture multiple targets in Tsukyomi (such as the moon).
Otherwise, it seems to be a one-on-one deal.

Possible, as it only takes a second to look someones in the eyes, but the strain on chakra and the User's body probably prevents this. It's specualated that the nomal Sharigan projecting Genjutsu on muiltple opponents, but not at the same time.

But doesnt it say if the opponents look in there eyes they`ll get caught in it,,so what if like 3 people were looking at his eyes as he activated them its a chance they get caught in it due too them a"l looking at the eye..?

Maybe not a single Tsukuyomi, but it could possibly be cast on multiple people in rapid succession. Tsukuyomi seems to last days for the person trapped in it, but the effect only lasts for a second in real-time. Using Itachi v. Kurenai, Kakashi and Asuma, the Tsukuyomi cast on Kakashi was cast and wore off before the other two realized what had happened. If they (Kurenai and Asuma) had opened their eyes, Itachi could have probably caught one of them in it before the third one had time to react or for Kakashi to recover, and once that person was released, he could have cast Tsukuyomi a third time. However, this would have probably left Itachi's chakra reserves close to empty if it didn't completely drain him.

Kakashi caught two Root ninjas with a single Sharingan genjutsu simply by having them both look at the same time, so presumably such a thing would be the case for any Sharingan genjutsu, including Tsukuyomi.

Yeah I was wondering why he would tell them to close there eyes if he was the only one going to be caught..

@HG swells,i was thinking that also,he doesnt have to look 3 ppl in the eye ,just make the 3 look at your tsukiyomi..xd
