First of all he was the second Hokage and brother to the God of all Shinobi Hasirama. And he killed Izuna his rival who was said to be at least on par with his older brother Madara before he died. But what really sells me is that he created not only the Edo Tensei but also the FTG technique.

If that's not impressive idk what is I mean Minato was famed by that jutsu alone and Oro and Kabuto also stole his jutsu as well! Needless to say I believe Tobirama deserves more credit than he deserves!

He's not really underrated but he's overshadowed by his brother Hashirama. He is very strong, certainly top 20.

Danzo said no one was greater in the shinobi world than Tobirama during his reign so we know he was the strongest of all the second generation Kage.

What makes him so strong is his extreme intelligence, quick acting, along with always taking people by surprise when they think they've won which is perfect because he literally has an instant jutsu to take your blind spot.

I'd say the strongest person he can beat with no ET is Itachi.

Agreed. There needs to a Gaiden that retcons this. He had to use the Reaper Death Seal on them which is even more ridiculous.

Realistically, there is a deeper story to his death, even if the one Kishi told us kind of sucks.

I agree, he is often underrated, mostly befause of being in the same era of Hashirama and Madara. I understajd those two were absolute monsters, but Tobirama had great strategic mind, sensory, high chakra levels, kickass suiton, all 5 elements affinity, ftg, kage bunshin, edo tensei...he was a beast.
By the way, he also invented the jutsus thay would become the signature of two fellow hokages and father and son (minato-ftg/naruto-kage bunshin) XD
