Well if your asking my impression it seems people find guys humor more universally funny example being what female comedian do people generally care about. It's not that I think females are unfunny I think it's just has more so to do with a point of reference I can't appreciate as guy since I'm not female. That doesn't mean tho I don't have female friends that I have a comedic relationship with.

Does it really depend on gender? I'd say I'm rather humorous person myself, despite being a woman. On the other side my female colleagues often don't take my jokes very well, or just don't get them (that's my fault probably LMAO). Men are more easy going in general, so they don't take things too seriously like a lot of women do. It's hard to say to be honest.

there have been studies done on humor and it's actually scientificly proven that more men on average have "humor/more of it" than females does and that males are on average funnier than women.
