Is this "Simulcast Season"?

Anyone else noticed that quite a few series already have a dub this season – including Assassination Classroom, Death Parade, Tokyo Ghoul Root A, and now Durarara!!x2 Shou.

I know Space Dandy got one last year (which it's a highly accessible series, so I can definitely understand why), but I've never heard of this many series getting simulcasts at the same time. Anyone know the reason behind it (it can't be popularity, cause Rolling Girls already has one, too)?

OT: Because Funimation wants to and thinks they can make money or making anime more popular. Idk. They're doing those four anime (I thought it was only 3, but idk) and dubbing them as they go.

The follow-up, probably. I don't know when they're doing something with the original series (it was the big hit of its season, so it'll probably be a higher quality dub). lol

^Nah, they're up to at least five series now, man, with DRRR!! now on the list. There's maybe one or two semi-big names from this season they haven't dubbed yet, but it's just about all of them. I got no clue why.

Really? I haven't heard anything on it. But yeah, these series are still airing in Japanese while they have their dubs, so it's just strange to me they're all getting them so soon like this (which doesn't faze me cause I really wanna see Death Parade and Durarara!!x2). lol
