The bijuu dama wasn't shown to be big that was the explosiion. It was also Kuramas power slightly boosted with rasenshuriken. The strength of the tech can't be determined by the size of the explosion. In the sky the explosiveness of the tech will surely be widespread because you can witness all of it. The one Hashi threw back at Madara is most likely on the same level. It's easily tanked.
