He wasn't even meant to be shown. He wasn't in the chapter the anime covered. They're doing a bad job just to do it. Also when Naruto carried Guy away the art was deplorable.

For some reason anime studio acts dumb at times.. someone linked me episode one of shippuden- I had forgotten it but watching it was irksome. They added such long scenes of Naruto, Sakura and Sai in Oro's cave...Sai wasn't even introduced yet formally... it was freaking weird.

Sometime back someone complained how did Tsunade was able to call sand nins in Sasuke rescue arc-- I reminded that Shizune and her team had clashed with sound nins near border before Shikamaru and team started. That gave Tsuande knowledge and some time to call for backup. But he said that the anime didn't cover the part .... I didn't bother to check the episodes myself but either he didn't notice it or the studio is stupid i.e. if they have so much time to make dragging slow filler but couldn't be bothered to add the actual incident in the manga.

The whole scene after Sasuke woke up(where orochimaru karin and jugo talked) that wasnt even in the manga if i remember correctly

Also Madara seemed to talk a lot in the episode which i dont remember seeing in the manga either

Resulting in non canon quotes

I guess they are trying to extend the episode because the scenes in the manga chapter looks short
Its okay for me but i wish they do that for the actual fights and make it more interesting
