and in the latest chapter, kakashi's vest is not even tainted....

How was he not affected by the rasengan ?...

I was thinking this too. the man is still greiving while trying to keep fans happy. Not an easy task which is why I am overlooking all the madness going on in the manga as of now. He really should just go on Hiatus and let his mind rest for a bit.
