Having the manga series stretch on does not mean the main threat isn't standing around for the same time stretch that we are. At the same time Naruto and friends are fighting on the frontlines, Sasuke, Orochimaru, and the Four are having their own bouts.

I'd rather the series expand and get even more indepth than it already is.

Whoa.. i guess Kishi might use the filler anime episodes to explain some stuff.. The manga is bound to continue for at least a year.. so many explanations..

Cuttgin away to exposition is constantly lessening the threat everytime he does it though. Taking you out of the action and showing you what Suigetsu and Jugo are up to (?) are very annoying. This flashback is like the Kabuto flashback, totally in the wrong place.
