Is this contact sensing? (finger sense)

Would this method of sensing be considered contact sensing? (like what was done to find Gangetsu's real clam)

Do you think Tobirama/Minato would be able to locate the clam using this unconventional method of sensing?

They touch the ground for a reason, which makes me think it is related to the earth or maybe possibly spreading their own chakra throughout the entire area? How do you think this technique works?

I think it's definitely possible. If his sensing ability is close to/on the same level as Tobirama's (who from sensing the ground found out Oro's body was almost completely made up off Hashi cells) then I would say it could very well happen.

Yup it should be under contact sensing which mostly involves shinobi's sensing stuff through contact with another. Minato/tobirama should be able to sense muu assuming he is'nt flying (not implying they can sense muu in a vs match cuz he flies) nevertheless, i think yes they can sense gengetsu's clam.

I'd assume it's a form of contact sensing or else two of the most staggering geniuses in the shinobi world learned a jutsu that's egregiously redundant and a waste of time which is doubtful.
