It may be natural that siblings hate each other, but I don't think Sasuke would have been able to deal with being the forever second choice. One acknowledgement from his dad isn't going to make up for years of feeling second choice.Yes but when Sasuke was showing his dad the Fireball Jutsu, his dad said what he wanted to him, hence he was happier and felt accomplished. As for Itachi... Itachi once said that siblings are supposed to hate each other, so it's natural
maybe with more Daddy issues and sibling rivalry issues...He would maybe be a bit friendlier towards others, but he would still be training very hard to get his father's acknowledgement and well, seeing as Itachi would still be the perfect son in Fugaku's eyes, I think Sasuke would grow up resenting his father and possibly even Itachi after a while because in his eyes, he would never be as good as Itachi.
So no, I don't think he would have a character similar to that of Naruto.
Yes, I see your point, but can one truely resent their family? Out of all the flashbacks they show with the Uchiha family you can see Sasuke loved Itachi no matter what and for his father... Remember when his mother said "When your father is with me, you're all he talks about"? That may or may not have been true but Sasuke believed it and at that time Sasuke felt acknowledged. It may be natural that siblings hate each other, but I don't think Sasuke would have been able to deal with being the forever second choice. Sasuke has a great need to be acknowledged by the people he respects; he thrives on it and needs it. So with his brother staying with his family and his father mostly praising Itachi, I wonder how long it would take until Sasuke would completely resent his family
I think it's possible to resent family. Of course Sasuke felt acknowledged at that time, but nobody likes to be second choice and Fugaku is clearly more proud of Itachi than of Sasuke, simply because Itachi is quicker on the uptake and learns things easier than Sasuke does.Yes, I see your point, but can one truely resent their family? I don't believe Sasuke would be able to resent his family as much as he used to Itachi though. Ya know, if Itachi hadn't killed his clan then Fugaku would probably give him more compliments and give him more attention, possibly as much as he did Itachi. Fugaku still probably had more to teach Sasuke... I'm only saying that that could be a possibility though.I think it's possible to resent family. So yes, I think over the years Sasuke would actually start to resent his brother and father, purely for the fact that Fugaku spends more energy and attention on Itachi than on Sasuke.
It could be possible, but the flashbacks have also shown that Fugaku barely gave Sasuke positive attention until the moment that Itachi disappointed him. From the moment Itachi made clear he wasn't Fugaku's perfect son, Fugaku started to pay more attention to Sasuke. Why? Because he probably thought that even if he had failed with his first son, he still had a second one.I don't believe Sasuke would be able to resent his family as much as he used to Itachi though. How so?I say Sasuke would still be the same.
