Is this a typo?

I have not seen a thread on this (looked, but did not find one, at least). Anyone else think this is a typo?

Kiba said that the 7th Hokage quit ("resigned" in the *********** translation, I think it says). Kakashi was the 6th hokage. Naruto is the 7th. So did Naruto really become hokage and resign in one chapter? Typo?

Pretty obvious to be and error. Don't see how they could miss it.
