If you plan to pick up a cheap girl at a bar or something, that line is perfect!
If you want to be with a girl you like, put effort into it. My current girlfriend, Abigail, can speak Spanish (you'll see why it's important). I would always hang out with her while I had my ex, we were inseparable. People thought we were cute together, that we were a perfect match. Even with my ex, Nicole, at the time, people told me that I looked happier with Abigail. Well, this new guy shows up and she's telling me how hot he is and all, then plans to ask him out on a date. Didn't phase me, I prompted her to ask him anyways since she never had a boyfriend before. Not sure why, even at that time, I thought she was easily in the top 5 hottest in school.
I then started running into issues with Nicole and we broke up. Abbie still hasn't asked new guy out after 2 months. Then she finally did one week and they had a date for the movies upcoming weekend. For some reason, this irritated me a lot. It wasn't till her best friend told me that Abbie had a crush on me for past 3 years and hesitated on new guy because of that. I, not once, ever noticed that. So on Friday, day before her first ever date, I grabbed her in the hallway, turned her around and quickly said in spanish (which I am still very horrible at and her bff Valerie taught me to say) "I want to be with you Abbie, every day. Will you go out with me?" I'm still so bad at spanish that I don't remember how to say it.
She didn't even hesitate, she wrapped her arms around my neck and said yes so many times. That was quite awhile ago, but I still have her in my life today. I even agree with my old high school friends, Abbie was a perfect match for me.
So if this is some random hookup, go ahead. If you want to have a relationship like Abbie and mine, you need a bit more effort buddy.
