Someone recommended me this build
what do you guys think? can it be improved?

I'm on a $750-1000 budget,
I'm looking for a computer build that can run this gens and maybe next gens games on high settings at 40 fps or more. I'm currently learning some more html coding so ill be using dreamweaver a lot as well as photoshop.
I wanted the theme to be White/Black

Can you guys give me some feedback on it? I've been saving up but I'd like to save a little money too, is cyber monday/black friday a good day to shop for parts?

Well, if you aren't just gaming, but doing other things like rendering/streaming and so on, I'd go for the i7 chips. Otherwise that build should run most games on high or ultra very comfortably.

Edit: Stick with your CPU, might want to upgrade your GPU for next grn games.

I would install Windows 8.1 instead, Photoshop and Dreamweaver will run just fine, and I suggest you get an internal SSD to boot your OS from.

R9 280X OR R9 270X are better options Imo.

Yea i've got those in the build, although the ssd is a small one, if i can find a better deal for a bigger one i might go for it.

I see, ill think about it for a while, i've still got a month but wanted to watch out for deals so i can get it for a bit less

That's the best route for you, Black Friday and other holiday sales are right around the corner, you can get lucky and get a 1000$ build for 800$ if you shop right, of course there is also a possibility you can save even more. Good luck to ya.

The GTX 750 Ti wouldn't be able to run the next generation games on high settings for sure unless you are okay with decreasing the resolution by a lot. Instead of having a 1 x 8GB RAM, it is always better to have 2 x 4GB RAM. Get a better PSU and go for at least the R9 270x as it can max out all the current gens on 1920 x 1080p resolution and still get framerates of above 30-40 so it should be able to run the next gen games on at least medium settings or high settings with some features turned off. Oh and if you are going for AMD, you might wanna check if the motherboard your friend recommended is compatible or not.

Would you mind telling me why 2 sticks are better than 1? (I learn better by being taught, rather than study about the subject), and ill think about the gpu, i'm not really playing steam pc games that much, i'm far much more into mmos like pso2, mabinogi, cosmic break, etc.. and im going with an intel based build.

In case one of the stick fails the other stick would still function whereas in the single stick build, if one fails the entire system won't start up. I would recommend AMD if you are looking for cheap but powerful GPUs, it is just my opinion.

The speed difference between single channel and dual channel ram is 1-3% speed increase. I've never had any ddr3 that has failed. Last time I had any ram that failed it was some very old ddr1. In my 8 years of computer building, it has been very rare that ram has failed. I would go 1x8gb and then get another 1x8gb later on. This leaves more room for expansion since if you put 4gb in a lot of slots you'll end up having to just replace it with an 8gb one and then you have 4gb of useless ram laying around.

Dual channel basically gives you a 10% Performence boost tbh, 8gb ram is fine. Everything is fine except the GPU, invest in at least an R9 270. GTX 750ti can high/tweaked ultra bf4 tho at 40+ fps. So it's not all that bad.

If you can get a gtx 970 you should really get that, It won't be a problem either since your processor is enough to handle the card without any bottlenecks.
