Kaguya isn't the god tree? i mean there's strong evidence that points that it could be her but there's also still a chance that the shinju is it's own being.... Because it doesn't make sense that the sage wouldn't know that he sealed his own mom into himself or why would she try to kill her own sons as the Juubi? idk what do u guys think?

If i remember correctly kaguya stole the fruit from the tree giving her the power of ninjutsu which she would pass onto her sons. The tree is its own separate being. Later in life the tree would attack in the form of the 10-tailed beast to regain the fruit (energy) that was stolen from it. The sage and his brother would defeat it and seal it within them, then separate the power into 9 beings in the form of juubis.
