Is there really such a thing as a villain that is too strong or overpowered?

^^^This. Whenever Naruto/Co. fight a villain that is said to be "op" people get mad if Naruto gets a power-up or uses a strategy to beat them. They call it an a. Pull (I don't curse, but you know what the a means) or plot no jutsu. Alternatively, if Naruto talk no jutsus a villain people get mad. These facts imply that people simply want Naruto to just be stronger than the villain from the start. This is the only way that the strategies listed above can be avoided. However, what would be the point of that? If Naruto is simply stronger than the villain, how would Kishi showcase a hero overcoming adversity that takes the form of an enemy that seems insurmountable? It would not be a good fight. It would just be Naruto beating someone up and calling it a day. The enemy must always start out stronger than the hero! If it is not this way, then the value of the conflict is severely diminished and the story/antagonist seem less serious. Therefore, some plot no jutsu is necessary. Would you like all antagonists to be weak? Personally, I don't even believe in the concept of someone being over powered. I believe that any character should be able to get any amount of power. It's called writing yourself into a corner. It happens in all types of shows.

1. Plot Rape someone
2. Pull something completely random and silly out of your ass.

This would be the greatest end to the manga in my mind. Sasuke dies. Naruto succumbs to darkness. The world is left in ashes. Fantastic.
