The writers just want to give the impression that he isn't free to do whatever he wants but in reality, Yamato would get negged if Oro wakes up one morning and decides he's tired of having one of his old experiments tagging around him

So much this what’s Yamato going to do to Oro except supply him more DNA samples for his experiments when he gets tired of being followed.

No. More like Kishi nerfing Sasuke. Notice, Sasuke never uses genjutsu on Naruto. Sasuke used genjutsu on Danzo, Itachi, Ay, Bee, Cee, White Zetsu, Deidara, Orochimaru, Kabuto, Sakura and Sai, but never Naruto.

We know Naruto is vulnerable to genjutsu too.


Kishi stating Mokuton and Sharingan combined can control a bijuu and jin, make it canon. We never saw it happen in the manga. Yagura was off-paneled, and most of the jins and biju were caught and suppressed by the Akatsuki with other means.

The fact that Hashirama controlled several Bijuu and later gave them away, Yamato using his mokuton to suppress Naruto and that the God Tree was actively absorbing both Naruto and Bee's chakra forms during the war, demonstrates Mokuton's power over the Biju.

Naruto always gets away with every thing: he's the hero after all.


Naruto fell prey to Toneri's genjutsu which Sakura broke of: same jutsu Naruto couldn't break.



Same Sakura was stripped off conciousness by Sasuie's one: proving Naruto would be turned to nothingness: had he gotten stuck in that type of genjutsu.
