Is there not really any point in Gai opening the eighth gate now?

As shown in the recent chapter, only Senjutsu attacks will work on Obito. Does this mean that there won't be any point or relevance in Gai opening the eighth gate because his Taijutsu attacks won't work? The only situation I can see him opening them now is if Madara is dangerous but is still an Edo. Don't get me wrong, Gai is my third favourite character in the Series with Lee in fourth, but the eighth gate has been hyped a lot.
It's worrying me, that it will pale in comparison to the attacks of the four Hokage.

Gai doesn't use chakra. His taijutsu might prove effective against Obito.

but all kidding aside im not to sure as i think it said it only negates ninjutsu not sure about taijutsu could be wrong and all

Well, you've got a point, but we haven't seen the Gate of Death yet. I hope it's gonna be vital part of their Victory.

In fact; he gained more reasons to open the 8th gate.

It says "ninjutsu do not work"; that's why senjutsu worked. It does not specify "only senjutsu can work".
So eith its hype; the 8th gate of death might be seen effective.
