The closest thing to One piece is probably Fairy Tail. I highly recommend Fairy Tail and Hunter x Hunter (2011)

I don't think there's many other manga like One Piece, which is why it's so popular. After a small Google search, I found something called 'Phantom Pirate' that might interest you, but your best bet is to hunt around for something that catches your interest.

No not with pirates. But Toriko has lots of adventures with a "hard to predict" story line.

When it comes to goodness, excitement, plot. Toriko, I never heard a negative thing about the manga. I never read it actually. I'm just afraid to get hooked to it like One Piece.

Not one with pirates and goodness both but goodness can be found in other than the obvious animes(bleach & naruto) in Katekyo hitman reborn, D Gray man, attack on titan, sword art online and many many more u could even try animes based on sport like eye shield 21 and air gear.
