No they aren't, they share similarities but the anime has filler plot so they can make the episode longer and at times they also introduce inconsistencies with the manga's storyline

Don't think so. I've asked the same thing to a friend of mine who's seen over a thousand of series and he says that AgK was a wild card so there isn't much to suggest.​
