Is there an actual reason why Kakashi can't copy FTG?

Not saying he can, or that he can't. But he can't copy KKG, and FTG=/=KKG.
He can probably do the seal since Sharingan copys seals and that's exactly what Minato marks stuff with.

So is there a reason he can't? Or just plot that he hasn't shown it yet?

Remember , during part 1 . No matter how you are skilled using the sharingan and at copying techniques but your body must also be able to do it .
He might be able to copy but his body might not be cope up .

He could copy the seal but he wouldn't know how to apply it ( getting yourself to teleport from point A to the kunai knife or seal ).

Kakashi is skilled that dosen't mean he can copy any jutsu.......
Minato is highly skilled compared to Kakashi ..............

The jutsu requires no hand seals on a kunai with formula. the only way a sharingan user can copy the technique is if they actually see it which they cant as ftg is to fast
