[Discussion] is there a moral imperative in marxist thought?

i would argue that although marxism is not a form of kantianism, there does seem to be a kantian influence within the marxist conception of history. i think that marxism is overall an amoral philosophy, the only moral imperative being to end the exploitation of labor.

Each philosophy has its own morals, in case of Marxism it's the moral of the worker's class. That is, work makes it possible for the workers to rise, and destroy capitalism that is based on exploiting the workers for the benefit of the ones with capital. So equality is the key, but it's only the equality of the workers. The moral principle of Marxism is that of the worker's, but it's not Kant's moral imperative. I don't know of such imperative in Marxism. Whatever is moral for the workers, shall be decided by the elite group of workers, who are leading them towards communism.
