Actually it isn't, since that's the record for the youngest mother in history. I was shocked when I found out.

OT: Nothing out of the ordinary these days. This sort of stuff happens all the time.
Haven't her parents ever heard of abortion or are they just terrible parents?

Stuff was a lot crazier in the 20th Century. You had 2 World Wars, Great Depression, Korean War, Vietnam War, Israel forming and resulting in all of this conflict in the Middle East, Cuban Missle Crisis, and the Cold War. The world is actually improving.

People have always been crazy. Enslaving each other, wars over beliefs, one country even considered themselves the superior race.

All the shit that happens now has always happened, just now it's being expressed by what we have in the 21st century. History repeats itself, just in different mediums of expression. Simply because the foundations of society have always stayed similar.

Some centuries ago you could get beheaded for saying something
die from most diseases
People would marry at young age
Sacrifices
Wars over religion and belief
Slaves
and the List goes on

Funnily enough, all of this still exists in the modern world, some, such as slavery, far more severely than the past couple of decades (although perhaps not as severely as in more ancient times). Diseases are actually making a comeback, ISIS is actually beheading western reporters for directly the reason you stated, people do marry at younger ages still, and there are unstated civil wars in the middle east for exactly the reason of religion (what do you ISIS is about after all). I don't want to know about the sacrifice one to be honest :/

Is it because of the new generation that the world is going berserk ?

I think it's a combination of things.

For starters, there is a lot more media coverage. We find out about a lot more things like this - especially the weird things, since it gets people to stop talking and look at the CNN news cast no one usually pays attention to.

That makes it truly difficult to tell if this type of stuff is on the rise - but there are a couple other factors that suggest it is.

There have always been ass-hats in the human population. There, more than likely, always will be. No process of education, welfare, etc can correct this - or really even affect it. The ass-hats will just have guaranteed supplies to be an ass-hat with, or can write and be ass-hats.

The human population has gotten much bigger than it has presumably ever been. That means there will, necessarily, be more ass-hats who do things that make the rest of us cringe.

But there is a trend that is growing, mostly in wealthy nations. Wealthy nations have grown complacent. They believe in the right of people to exist - and therefor do everything within their power to provide for and understand every way of life - including ass-hattery.

" The sexual abuse of about 1,400 children at the hands of Asian men went unreported for 16 years because staff feared they would be seen as racist, a report said today.

Children as young as 11 were trafficked, beaten, and raped by large numbers of men between 1997 and 2013 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, the council commissioned review into child protection revealed.

And shockingly, more than a third of the cases were already know to agencies.

But according to the report's author: 'several staff described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought racist'.

. . .

In two cases, fathers had tracked down their daughters and tried to remove them from houses where they were being abused - only to be arrested themselves when police were called to the scene.

And one child declined her initial offer to give a statement after allegedly receiving a text from a perpetrator threatening to harm her younger sister.

. . .

The spotlight first fell on Rotherham in 2010 when five men, described by a judge as 'sexual predators', were given lengthy jail terms after they were found guilty of grooming teenage girls for ***.

The five men - Umar Razaq, Adil Hussain, Razwan Razaq, Zafran Ramzan, and Mohsin Khan - preyed on their victims over several months and threatened them with violence if they refused their advances.

One of the men branded his victim a ‘white *****’ when she resisted, while a second smirked: ‘I’ve used you and abused you.'

The men, all British-born Pakistanis, attacked the four girls in play areas, parks and in the back of their cars, Sheffield Crown Court heard. "

This is the type of shit that makes my blood boil.

Those men should be executed and the government officials along with them.

Of course - you can also see how the Mail tries to the very same thing in their headline and opening paragraphs.

The main 'power' behind this were Pakistani and muslim arabs. Simply using the term "asian" is a deflection.

" Even those of us who warned for years of young girls being traded in provincial towns as *** slaves were shocked at yesterday’s revelations of the scale of the crimes.

Particularly shameful was the silence of police, councillors and senior social workers. For crucial information about the crimes that had been given to the authorities — often by parents frantic about their daughters going missing or turning up drunk and dishevelled late at night — was either suppressed or ignored.

And so the brutal street-grooming and sexual abuse went on for 16 years. One girl quoted in the report says she thought ‘gang-rape was a usual part of growing up’. "

This type of phenomena is not really new. The Ottomans did it for decades - and there were reports of the Slavic regions being microcosms of the same phenomena as regional war-lords essentially took -slaves- (you want a racist word.... it's the word 'slave' - specifically denoting the Slavic people as several other cultures perceived them many hundreds of years ago). It was also not unknown in western Europe (the maids of the lord's castle were often the daughters of peasants and tradesmen who caught the eye of the ruler and were traded for political favor - although one could argue it is a bit more 'classy'). Then you have the concept of Eunuchs, Harems, and other such things.

But with the rise of individual authority and capability, most of these systems began to go away in those cultures.

A woman who had a legitimate independent social status was able choose, within the options that came to her, who she would pair with. The culture of men shifted, as well. With there no longer being a 'serf' who just hoped his daughter was beautiful enough to draw the eye of some ruler - his belief of what his sons were worth (more than pawns in a lord's battle) and what his daughters were worth shifted, as did the attitudes of his sons and daughters who could learn trades and no longer be reliant upon the permissions and graces of nobility.

This mentality of individual empowerment and the sanctity of a woman carried through until about the 1960s.

Then we saw a lot of the cultural complacency return. People were paid to exist. People began looking at government to give them permission to do things.

And we're sinking right back into the same feudal systems - even here in the U.S. - where entire cultures exist where the laws and rules of the U.S. do not apply. Just like in this town.

Because we have to be 'understanding.'

So - in a way, it's 'the same.'

In a way, it's more prevalent.

It's just that we, as a society, need to find the balls to start throwing this type of nonsense out of our lands.
