It is not exactly the same, but close to it.
Some of Hashirama's DNA is infused to them though.
Also the empowered White Zetsus are empowered with Yamato, who has Hashirama's DNA.
Hashirama has the genes to use Mokuton and humans in the past have been turned into white Zetsus by Kaguya using the Shinju (who is basically one big Mokuton).

So the White Zetsus are really similar to Hashirama's DNA but not exactly the same.

Seeing the Senju and the Uchiha have origins in Otsutsuki, Kaguya, Shinju, Hagoromo and Ashura and Indra, it makes sense that Hashirama his DNA, Mokuton and White Zetsu have similarities.

I dont think that it is exactly the same though and that you cant summon Edo Hashirama through White Zetsu material.

Obviously it would look less like Hashirama his DNA without this alteration.

Meaning it isnt his DNA.
Meaning you cant summon Hashirama as Edo, with white Zetsu his DNA.

White Zetsu are humans turned into White Zetsu.
They cant compare to Hashirama and arent the same as Hashirama.

We are talking none modified White Zetsus (who are not modified with Hashirama his DNA).
Because you talk about Edo revival working in every time and the modified White Zetsus are from Madara/Naruto's time.

With non-modified White Zetsu DNA it will especially not work to summon Edo Hashirama and probably neither with modified Zetsu DNA.
