Is The Sage The Strongest Ever Or Not?

I honestly need some different perspectives on the topic because every aspect of it is questionable. If you think the sage is untouchable then explain why. If you think not so much then explain as well. I actually can't give an opinion.

The 2 strongest characters (Hashirama and Mada) are capable of summoning attacks the size of meteors.
Hashirama's hand thing is about the size of a meteor, seeing how it compared to a full sized 9TF, while Mada summons actual meteors.

Both of them pale in comparison to the moon.

He had the Rinnegan, the Creation of all thingswas the Juubi's Jinchuuriki, and by the time he died (this was after he had had the Juubi extracted), he still had enough power to create a Chibaku Tensei the size of the moon. So yes, he's by far the most powerful one we've seen yet.
