Although I do very much like your Sage/Uzumaki theory and the solid evidence and effort you put into it, it's still based on assumptions and art styling that could for all you know be used to save time. Although I would also like to add to your theory that once Obito became the 10tails host he gained the Yin/Yang chakra manipulation move that absorbs all ninjutsu (a move which resembles the Rinnengan ability to absorb all ninjutsu) so you may indeed be right
